Steel City Dragons News

Welcome Pittsburgh’s team for all cancer paddlers!

The Steel City Dragons organization is pleased to announce the formation of Pittsburgh Unity, an all cancer paddler (ACP) dragon boat team. This new team is part of a nationwide ACP movement offering support for anyone with a current or past diagnosis of any type of cancer.

This new program builds on past successes for breast cancer paddlers (BCP). The BCP movement in dragon boating started in 1996 and has delivered physical and emotional benefits to thousands worldwide. The Steel City Dragons brought the BCP movement to Pittsburgh in 2005 for their acclaimed Pink Steel program. For the first time in Pittsburgh, we’re bringing the same transformative experience to individuals confronted by all forms of cancer.

Join us in welcoming the new Pittsburgh Unity team and help us support those whose lives have been affected by cancer’s shadow.
